Wonderful Florida...

What a wonderful time we had in Florida!!

We met Kristie at the Atlanta airport & she flew with us to Tampa. She stayed till Tuesday. We spent most of the time with her around Venice – mostly the beach. After we dropped her off at the airport on Tuesday, Russ, Deb, Dan & Joe stopped to see Mike Poll where he works & he gave us a tour. What a big & nice place!! Then on to Daytona Beach for bike week with Rogor, Sherry, Marie & Adam. We had lots of fun & saw every kind of bike imaginable. Dan, Joe, Adam & Marie went to a “Club” that night & had lots of fun dancing. They just wished Kristie could have joined them. Wednesday night we headed back to Venice. Thursday had a beautiful day watching the Detroit Tigers play the Cincinnati Reds in Sarasota. The Tigers lost it in the 9th inning – but it was still fun. Friday the boys went golfing & ate dinner at “Rosebuds”. Saturday we had a beautiful day at Venice Beach, then drinks & steaks on the “Engelhardt Lanai”.

Dan just headed back to CMU. He’s spent the last 2 weeks celebrating his 21st birthday. Friday Marie, Adam, Josh & Cal went to CMU to help Dan celebrate in Mt. Pleasant, yesterday they all came here to celebrate again. They have 1 more weekend of celebration in Grand Rapids next weekend.

We sure miss the Florida weather!!!!! It’s cloudy, snow is covering the ground & the temp is in the mid 30’s & that’s not expected to change anytime soon. …..
